 The 2010 Peace River National Art Festival will be held March 20 & 21 2010. 

 

The show is limited to 120 artists and we work very hard to limit repetition in art works. The 2008 festival attracted 10,000 visitors. The festival is run for the benefit of the Visual Arts Center of Punta Gorda, Charlotte County, Florida and the City of Punta Gorda have been instrumental in making this event a treasured community event. The Visual Arts Center of Charlotte County is located in Historic Punta Gorda, Florida. For over a quarter of a century, the Charlotte County Art Guild, Inc. has enhanced the lives of thousands of people in the area. With a tradition of service always at its heart, the Guild provides a magnificent Visual Arts Center for artists to display their talents during the numerous national and regional exhibitions. The Guild also provides instructional classes, programs, workshops, lectures, and open studios.

 

The festival will be held in Laishley Park along the beautiful Peace River adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico in Downtown Punta Gorda, Florida. Laishley Park will be adding 50 Yacht slips to the park for patrons to travel and stay on their boats. Two new premier hotels have been built adjacent to the event and the new convention center has been completed. Our artist's hospitality suite includes showers and wifi. The Peace River Festival has an established adopt-an-artist program and the festival has established a solid Patron Purchase Awards Program.
